Our Story

From becoming best friends at uni in 2012, to spending the first three years long distance, and now living together with our myriad of pets in our own home, we have had the best time for the last 13 years!
Whether you know us from when we were cute kids, maybe we met in the chaotic dorms of Boarding School or College, or perhaps in our professional lives, we are brimming with joy to have you share this special day with us.
Here's to old friends and new, may they always be true.

Our engagement in Tasmania

Wedding Party

Alice's Besties

Ana Nixon — best gal around for car calls, interstate trips, and general hype woman
Ash Moy — accident prone to the point where her presence at this event was not a given
Emma Bein — long time, primary school friend who has seen Alice through her most awkward years
Emma Swan — the creator of the wedding cake and all round talent-hoarder extraordinaire
Jenny Dale — lover of the fabric arts, dog breed collector, and generous to a fault

Mark's Mates

Tom Gayford — Best Man, OG gym, work, and now business partner, and lifelong friend
Madds Bowden — Best Woman and partner in crime for motorbike rides, fireball shots, gym, sushi, and deep and meaningful chats
Jordan Mannion — Real life Legally Blonde, only shorter and from Tasmania. A longtime uni friend and mother of Mark's godson Huxley
James "Supes" Feeney — an Albies College and gaming friend, who also featured in his own wedding photos after Mark. Clan Leader of the Dirty Dog Squad.

Our Helpers for the Ceremony

Ruby and Polly Milson — the couple's nieces — here to spread good cheer and petals
Eli Booth — the couple's nephew — the best little ring bear(er)
John Schwager — close friend of the couple — here to read some wisdom
Felicity, Connor, and Jacob Forster — please follow their lead with the confetti at the end of the ceremony.
Penny Milson and Mark Perrett — Witnesses — Alice's cousin and Mark's Godfather
Jim Milson and Simon Walden — MC — probably the two with the best banter at this whole event

On the day contact

It happens! You left the invite on the fridge, you can't remember where the bus pick up is, and you've got the times mixed up. Perhaps you only know one other person at this wedding, but they are just getting into a big white dress about now!!
Fear not — if you have any questions on the day please contact bridesmaid
Ash Moy on 0422 463 233 and she can help you out.

Tamworth

There are plenty of things to do if you are making a holiday of the weekend. Our Marsupial Park comes highly personally recommended! Peel St has lots of cafes that can cater to dietary requirements, and Bicentennial Park has a water play-area, a large playground, and lots of space for little legs to burn off energy before the trip home. There is also a cafe here to fill up at before the drive.

Gifts

Due to Alice's accumulation of antique accessories and Mark's minimalistic mindset, we are lucky enough to have everything we need for our future life together.
However, if you do wish to celebrate this event with a gift, a contribution to our wishing well for our honeymoon would be warmly appreciated.
There will be an area to place gifts and cards.

Kids' Corner

If you are bringing your kids, we have a lot on offer for them! The children's area is attached to the Hall, so they will be nearby.
If you do not want your children to be in any photographs, please speak with us in the weeks leading up to the event. If you are family, please keep your kids close by directly after the ceremony for family photos.

General Information

There will be colouring books, Duplo, and other easy, fun things for kids to independently play with throughout the evening.
The nannies have a policy of 1 carer for every 4 children under 2 years and 1 carer for every 5 children from 2-3 years old.
There is also ample outside space for kids to run around, but we ask that you are responsible for your own children if they leave the Hall, and that they do not wander through the campus.
Later in the evening an area will be used for a quiet space for those who want to have a nap.

Nannies

We have hired 'New England North West Child Minding Service' to look after your little ones. You are welcome to entrust your children with them from 2:30pm onwards if they do not wish to go to the ceremony.
They are prepared to care for all kids from 0 years to 12 years old. We do ask that you remain responsible for your children throughout the event, however, the nannies are able to care for your kids within the designated Kids' Corner — making sure they have dinner, stay within the event area, and have a jolly evening.

The Tiny Studio

We will be having a craft station hosted by local business 'The Tiny Studio'. Abby and her crew have crafty activities and will be leading a creative session for all ages. This is open to toddlers as well as the older kids.
Please inform your kids before arriving that there is to be no food to be brought into the craft area so that they understand this.

Lego

'Connecting With Bricks', a local Tamworth organisation, will be providing entertainment in the form of Lego! There will be a Brick Pit and Build Tables, so lots of options for free play and designing.
Unfortunately, no kids under 5yrs in the Lego area for safety reasons, but Duplo is available for this age group. Also no food allowed in this area. Please inform your kids before arriving so that they understand these two matters.

Kids' Dinner

We are having local Pizza Van, 'Pizza on Wheels', to cater for kids at dinner time.
They are able to do gluten free pizza bases and lactose free cheese options. The nannies will be supervising this to ensure that all kids get fed.
If your child has other allergy or intolerance concerns, please reach out to the Bride & Groom in the weeks before the wedding, or pack them a safe meal for the evening.

Thank you to our Vendors

Our lovely vendors helped us every step of the way. They were so accomodating of our requests for a low waste, plastic free (as much as possible), locally sourced wedding.
All the ingredients for dinner were sourced from local producers, the flowers are from local flower farms, and we used almost all New England and Hunter Valley businesses. We are so proud of our region and wanted to invest in our local creatives and economy. We also loved being able to support some our personal friends!
